Our Story

In the fall of 1992, with the help of a $10,000 family loan, John and Holly Hill opened “Namco of Nashville,” in a tiny office space on Winford Avenue. Namco offered portable carpet cleaning equipment and janitorial supplies from one manufacturer. 

While Holly learned how to keep the books, John focused on sales, and their three young children helped on Saturdays by making “factories,” – an assembly line of mixing, bottling, and labeling cleaning products to sell. 

Winning one customer at a time, John and Holly developed trusted relationships by serving their customers, hiring talented team members, and expanding their product lines with the best equipment available. 

In 2006, through a mutual answer to prayer, the nationally renowned truck mount mechanic, Chris Pond, joined as Service Director. Chris developed the service department’s reputation for excellence and trained our current Service Director, Mike Donehue, to the highest standard.

In 2009, John recruited his son-in-law to join the family business. Andrew quickly put his passions for customer service, problem solving and leadership to work, eventually becoming Store Manager and leading the company through some of it’s most challenging, and most prosperous years yet.

In 2020, John and Holly retired and sold the company to the General Manager, their son-in-law Andrew, enabling the company to continue as a second generation family business. 

The Cleaner’s Depot has seen many seasons throughout the past 30 years. Each has been an opportunity to witness God’s faithfulness through every success or challenge.  

Heading into the future, the Cleaner’s Depot team continues to build upon a strong foundation of putting God first with integrity and excellence. The Cleaner’s Depot continue to grow, serving our customers with friendly professionals, ideal solutions and available products.

 

The Cleaner’s Depot has out-grown two locations and has acquired a staff of individuals that are extremely qualified to provide the quality equipment and products and caring service customers have grown accustomed to. After 31 years, it remains a family owned and operated business. The care they have for their customer’s success is the heartbeat of the business.

But this story is only complete by mentioning from day one, displayed on their showroom wall, was the secret to their success…the truth stated in Psalm 1:3:
